Technician
to join their team in Houston, TX.

character, and a great attitude, we would love for you to be a part of our

We are
looking for individuals who are interested in full-time. Our technicians
typically work a four-day week, with shifts being 11 hours including a 1-hour
lunch break. We are currently looking for people who can work our 7:45 am to
7:00 pm shift. While the clinic is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, you must be
available to work some weekend and holiday shifts to care for hospitalized or
boarding patients (typically this is 1 weekend per month).

      in blood draws, injections, catheter placement, treatment and monitoring
      of hospitalized patients
    • Proficient
      with commonly performed lab procedures such as cbc, chemistries,
      urinalysis, cytology’s, etc.
    • Ability
      to take accurate radiographs
    • Accurately
      and professionally record patient medical information

EDUCATION/LICENSURE
REQUIREMENT

    • A
      high school diploma and a minimum of 2 years working in a veterinary
      clinic is required
    • Licensed
      Veterinary Technicians are strongly preferred
    • Previous On-The-Job Training desirable

PERSONAL
REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum
      of 18 years old.
    • Genuinely
      enjoys working with animals and can deal with them even when they are
      stressed, ill or in pain.
    • Can
      stay calm and efficient during a medical crisis.
    • Is
      well-spoken and approaches his/her job duties in a mature nature.
    • Is
      experienced in the teamwork approach and works well with all levels of
      hospital team members.
    • Have
      excellent client communication skills.
    • Physical
      Effort: Work requires lifting and carrying animals (will be assisted by
      other staff members in lifting animals over 40 lbs.)  Walks or stands
      for extended periods or time; frequently works in a bent position.
    • Working
      conditions:  May be exposed to unpleasant odors, noises and animal
      feces. May be exposed to bites, scratches and contagious diseases.
