Veterinary Receptionist – AVS Mountainland Animal Hospital – Kingwood, WV

Veterinary practice in Kingwood, WV (Preston County) is seeking a part time Veterinary Receptionist to join our team and care for our patients as much as we do! We provide individual & personal attention to every client and their companion pet. Our veterinary clinic, specializing in dogs and cats, is seeking an experienced, highly reliable Veterinary Technician or Assistant (Licensed Veterinary Tech preferred) to join our team and contribute to our expansion!
We’re interested in talking to you if you have experience in the veterinary field, genuinely love animals and if you’re as committed to pet parent education as you are to treating animals. Our clinic focuses on preventive medicine as well as surgical intervention, particularly for spaying and neutering animals.

Position Details:

Part time position with potential of future full time status.
Veterinary Experience of 1 year minimum preferred.
Veterinary Tech License Preferred.
Week and Weekend Shifts.
Clinic closed Sundays.

Job Duties include but not limited to:
Assisting Veterinarian with various surgical procedures.
Providing excellent client and customer care.
Preparing animals for exams or surgery.
Keeping accurate and thorough chart notes.
Giving animals nursing care or first aid.
Collecting and test lab samples.
Taking and developing X-rays.
Giving medications, shots, or treatments.
Collecting and maintaining patient records.
Ensure the premises is kept clean.
Answer, screen and forward incoming calls.
Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email.
Patient charting and maintaining accuracy.
Schedule/Adjust client appointments.
Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing.
Assist with caring and walking boarding clients.
Assist Practice Manager with various projects as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 – $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Kingwood, WV 26537: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Veterinary technician experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Veterinary: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Veterinary Technician Certification (Preferred)
